The White Planet as every year organizes several ski trips as you will see you can choose the one that suits you better
Boat/ski cruise in Norway
Once again like during the past 13 years we go back to Tromso. We live on a 35 mt boat, Polargirl. We sail along the Lyngen Peninsula. Every day we get ashore and skin up the most beautiful mountains of the area. Life on board is comfortable thanks to the 2 or 4 beds cabins, the great food cooked for us last but not least the sauna and hot tub on the deck. Once back from the trips nothing better than drinking a beer in the hot tub while Polargirl sails. If you prefer you can go to your cabin or share the memories of the day in the cousy sitting room.
Every day one or two mountain, up to your taste and fisical condition. Remember that we skin up from sea level and life is much easier than in the Alps. Weather can be as rugh as a bad day in the Alps therefore bring the appropriate clothes.
Boat/ski tirps
From April the 17th to the 24th; from April the 24th to May the 2nd
Departure from Milan (or any other place just let us know) arrival in Tromso Saturday evening and sail straight away the same evening. Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday ski trips around the Lyngen Peninsula. Thursday neight back to Tromso. Friday is left to everyone either for a ski trip or a visit to the town, where is worth visiting the Polar Museum.
Equipement required: everything you need for ski touring: skis, skins, boots, avalance beacon, probe, shovel. Thermos and water bottle. Energy bars. All the rest you find it on board.
Cost all included (drinks on board exluded) Euro 2.400

Adventure ski touring in the Svalbard Islands from 22nd of May to 6th of June
This is a trip for tlal those that are attracted by wuge expanses, long distances, the facination of the never setting sun. It is not only walking in the flat, be sure. Last year a bunch of crazy guys skied 4.000 verical meters in a day. Don’t worry in case of the same you can stop when you want and go bvack to the camp. We fly to Longyearbeen, the capital, by boat we go to Elkmann Fjord and from there we start walking toward the 3 Kroner, there wonderful mountain, one of which we ski. From there we turn East and then South to get back to Elkmann Fjord where a boat will come to pick us up. A day in Longyearbeen to visit the town and relax and then fly back home.
Departure from Milan (or any other place just let us know) May the 22nd, arrival in Longyearbeen the same day. Next day preparation for the trip and boat transfert to Elkmann Fjord. Ski traverse till the 4th of May, the 5th in town, the 6th flight for home
Equipement required: everything you need for a ski touring trip. Sleeping bag, down jacket, avalace beacon, probe, shovel, harness … we bring the gun for the polar bear!!!

Pure adventure at Svalbard, kayack/sci
An incredible trip but hard. We shall paddle along the Cross Fjord, North of Ny Aalesund with everything we need in the kayack and skis tighened on the deck of the kayack. We camp on the shore of the Fjord and every day we skinn up one of the many wonderful mountains of the Fjord. Dinners around the fire useing the logs sent ashore by the North stream a great experience. The trip is open only to those ready to stand the severe condition, able to kayack and ski.
Departure from Milan th 5th of June and return the 20th of June
We arrive in Longyearbeen and the first two days will be for preparation and possibly to sail of fly to Ny Aalesund. Once there we shall start the kayack trip striaght away. The next week will be totaly dedicated to kayacking and skiing in the Cross Fjord. We shall be back in Longyearbeen in order to spend one day in town relaxing and shopping or visiting the nice Polar Museum. We fly back the 20th of July
Equipement required: anything you need for skitouring, sleeping bag, knife, fork, harness, down jacket but everything down to the minimum cause everything has to stay in the kayack
Cost: will be communicated only to the seriously interested ones, ready to take all the risks of the trip and the tough life of such a one
